Babich, Cowslip Valley Riesling 2022

The Babich family has been making wine in New Zealand since 1916, making them New Zealand’s most experienced family-owned winery. With no less than three generations of innovation, achievement and excellence across three outstanding regions; exceptional winemaking is what the Babich family does best. This wine is made from 100% Riesling, all taken from the storied Cowslip Valley which sits within the wider Marlborough region. The grapes were harvested and aged on lees in stainless steel for 6 months prior to bottling. It has a nose of lemon, grapefruit, stone and green apple; the palate is off-dry (with just a hint of sweetness) with further honied fruity flavours on the long finish. A classically made, elegant Riesling and one best paired with Asian cuisine.
